A passion and love for journalism and storytelling started early for a young Daisy Kershaw. Some of her fondest childhood memories are family car rides spent listening to news radio or reading the Sunday morning paper with her parents.

Daisy got her start in broadcasting as a Multimedia Journalist in vibrant Savannah, Georgia. During her time at WSAV-TV News 3, she covered a variety of significant challenges within the community. From digging deeper into the impacts of hospital staffing shortages on ambulance wait times to holding the local housing authority accountable after a family was placed in an unsafe environment –– Daisy was there to cover issues close to viewers' hearts through her reporting.

After a few months, Daisy was thrilled to be promoted to Weekend Anchor. This role not only allowed her to anchor and solo-produce two hours of content every Saturday and Sunday but also to innovate. As Producer, Daisy curated and pitched a brand new community interview segment that brought fresh viewership and perspectives to News 3 Today Weekend.

Now, Daisy is thrilled to be a reporter at WLWT News 5 in Cincinnati. There, she's tackling it all—from the heartwarming to the heartbreaking. Daisy is invested in the Tri-State area and deeply connected to the community. She's passionate about reporting on the issues that matter most to those who live here.

Daisy attributes her accomplishments to her extensive educational background. She graduated with the highest honors from the University of California Santa Barbara, where she majored in Communication. Daisy’s love for journalism was solidified during her time at UCSB, where she took on the role of External News Director for the local radio station. It was there that Daisy saw firsthand how truly impactful community-based reporting is.

After earning her bachelor’s degree, Daisy attended Northwestern University’s prestigious Medill School of Journalism, where she earned her Master of Science in Journalism. During her time at Northwestern, Daisy worked as a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) for CAN-TV Chicago, where she produced original content, anchored, reported live in the field, and covered major news stories across Chicago.

Daisy is now honored to call Cincinnati her home.
